We have news on another felony marijuana arrest in Murfreesboro. Suspect Jeremy Lee Sanson was pulled over on South Church Street because his passenger was not buckled in on Thursday afternoon. When police approached the window of the car, the officer noted that 20-year old Sanson appeared to be nervous. When asked if anything illegal was in the car he reportedly told the officer that six Lortab were in the center console. Sanson then admitted to what he had sitting in the backseat.
Police say that one pound of marijuana was located in the back seat of Sanson’s car. Due to the amount of marijuana recovered, the M-P-D Vice Unit was contacted. Vice Detective Jensen seized both the 1999 Mercury Cougar and the drugs that were found in the car.
Sanson, who is from Alabama, was booked into the local Rutherford County Jail under felony marijuana possession charges and will be due in court this June. His 18-year old passenger was also arrested. Kimberly Heflin is also from Alabama. She was said to have only a small amount of marijuana in her boot.
