Tennessee Army National Guard Soldiers from the 1176th Transportation Company, based in Smyrna departed over the weekend for a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Selected members of the 1176th unit Smyrna, Tullahoma, Memphis, Brownsville and Dyersburg left from the Smyrna airport Sunday and depart at approximately 10am.
