Perhaps you have heard this question in the news before… should you call the police if you are robbed while buying marijuana?

A 19-year old Murfreesboro man told police he went to Walnut Street to purchase marijuana from an unknown individual on Monday and was robbed in the process. While the “victim” in this case was parked in his car and awaiting the drug deal to go down, he was approached by two men who got into the backseat of his car. One of the two men pulled out a gun and demanded the drug buyer to hand over his valuables. He gave the men over $300 in cash, a Kindle, a laptop computer, an iPod and a calculator. The two subjects exited the car and fled the scene. In case you’re wondering, the victim never got his pot.
