2012: Year of Change on WGNS

Our 65th year of broadcasting here on WGNS brought many changes to your "Good Neighbor Station." After a 20-year broadcast career, many of those on WGNS, G. Gordon Liddy signed off the air for the last time July 27th...

The program opening allowed us to move more local programming to the mid-morning time slots now occupied by the Truman Show with Truman Jones, Rutherford Issues with Bryan Barrett and the Midday Report with Zach Troutman. Those popular afternoon programs were moved to make way for George Plaster's Sports Night program, now airing 3-6pm, right after All Sports Talk. WGNS is bucking the national trend of more syndicated programming by adding local programs that directly affect us here in Rutherford County. As we celebrate our 66th year of broadcasting, we will continue to search for ways to bring the best local talk, news and sports to all of us who call the Heart of Tennessee home. Thanks for making 2012 an outstanding year for WGNS and we look forward to serving you in 2013 and beyond. Today, we are celebrating our 66th year in broadcasting.
