A 21-year old man in Murfreesboro has been arrested on a single charge of the rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery. The Department of Children Services investigated the case that involved a 12-year old child. After a forensic investigation was completed, the case was turned over to police.
Although the arrest just recently occurred, the alleged rape is believed to have taken place this past summer. The young girl was evidently visiting Murfreesboro when the crime was said to have unfolded. Ryan Taylor of Greenland Drive is accused of pulling the 12-year old into a bathroom where he, according to a police report, “forced her to have sexual intercourse.” Taylor was arrested on a sealed indictment.
Taylor was booked under a $150,000 bond and has not been released. He will appear in circuit court on December 17th.
