Being accused of stealing $8,000 is a felony in Tennessee and a Murfreesboro man has been arrested for allegedly doing just that.

25-year old Ronald Wilson, who worked at “Jefferson’s” restaurant on East Main Street, allegedly stole a little over $8,000 from the business since the start of the year. Many of the thefts were said to be caught on video inside the business.

Wilson was picked up by a Murfreesboro Police Detective and transported to the interview room at the police headquarters on S. Church St. During the interview, Wilson reportedly admitted to Detective Flanagan that he did indeed steal the money “over a period of time.”

Wilson was charged with theft over $1,000 and booked into the local jail. He was later released after posting bond.
