4-Year old struck by truck in Christiana last week is recovering now

The young child that was hit by a vehicle this past Wednesday evening (4/30/14) in Rutherford County is in the recovery process now and doing well.

4-Year old Alyza Jenkins was crossing the street on Laurel Lane behind Christiana Middle School when she was struck by a man driving a truck who did not see her. The child was then rushed by Life Flight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. 

The 30-year old driver of the truck that hit the child was said to be a nearby neighbor. The driver was not charged with any wrongdoing in the tragic accident. 

Again, the 4-year old struck by a truck last week is recovering now.
