60% Increase In Fenton Payne & Fred 5K Run!

The 9th Annual Fenton Payne & Fred 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk Saturday morning enjoyed a 60 per cent increase in participants. Of course 65-degrees and sunny weather didn't hurt as the estimated thousand runners sprinted off when the gun fired at MTSU's Johnny "Red" Floyd Football Stadium.

This year's race benefited MTSU's Blue Raider Athletic Association, that offers scholarships to athletes; the Primary Care and Hope Clinic, a non-profit that provides health care to uninsured ressidents in this community; and Special Kids, a faith-based group that helps medically fragile children.
