A 62-year old man living at University Terrace Apartments on Brown Drive in Murfreesboro was robbed at knife point on Tuesday evening. The victim was in his residence when he answered a knock at his door. A subject armed with a knife forced his way into the apartment and stated, “I want the drugs.”

The victim attempted to disarm the thug, but was unsuccessful. The culprit hit the victim in the head. The victim, still dazed by the blow, told the unknown man where his prescription medication was located. The subject got-away with a bottle of Oxycodone, Diazpan and Trazadone.

Oxycodone is a pain killer, Diazpan is used to treat anxiety disorders and Trazadone is an anti-depressant that is often prescribed alternatively to help people sleep.

The victim who was struck in the head during the aggravated robbery was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. The robber is still at large.
