The Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating a pedestrian verses car accident that occurred on Saturday night in Murfreesboro.

65 Year old Roy G. Thompson was walking across South East Broad Street near United Grocery Outlet when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle being driven by 28 year old Christopher Jeffery. The accident happened around 8:00, Saturday night.

Police say that Thompson was not crossing the street at a designated crosswalk when he was hit by the 2004 Infinity G35 car.

After the accident, the victim was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he remains today (Monday).
