In the nearby Manchester area, a man accused of being a child harming clown had charges against him dismissed.

According to the arrest warrant, the subject became very lewd with the dispatcher talking sexually with her and stating he was going to harm children. He also allegedly stated that he was going to kidnap children and her, cut their ears off and other lewd acts. The call came through the non-emergency line and was not traceable.

64 year-old George Randy Hoppe of Manchester was charged in the case.

According to District Attorney Craig Northcott, "After an investigation, it was discovered that Hoppe was not the person who made the calls and charges were dismissed."

Northcott says his office is investigating possible charges against another individual concerning this case. It is unknown if the two individuals are connected.
