The first warm weather months bring an onslaught of parties in the 'Boro. On Saturday night (6/15/2013) "The Summer Party: A Taste of Rutherford" was held at the beautiful home of Margaret and Lynn Agee on Lascassas Pike. This annual event is a fundraiser for Main Street Murfreesboro/Rutherford County. That group enhances and promotes the historic uptown Murfreesboro district and keeps that business area vibrant.

Local restaurants and caterers offered their most popular pallet pleasers and Karl and the Undertones kept the party rock'n. In fact, one special couple celebrated their Golden Anniversary at the event. (Left Photo) Lee and Blake Tidwell bopped into their fiftieth year with a special dance for this popular couple.

The Agee's home was perfect for a party with huge lawns and fields for parking. Plus, the beautiful Stones River wound near the party. Making the evening even better was a gently breeze and temps in the mid 70s.
