Accused Burglar Caught Red Handed

A 23-year old Murfreesboro man was allegedly caught red handed trying to break into a neighbors car. The victim told officers that he witnessed Chad Ardis trying to break into his car just before 5 in the morning on Thursday.  When police questioned the Hazelwood Drive resident, they realized that he had what officers called burglary tools in his possession. They also came to the conclusion that Ardis may be intoxicated and therefore charged him with public intoxication, in addition to possession of burglary tools and attempted burglary. Ardis will face the charges in general sessions court on April 11th.
