Dan Whittle photo exhibit at Arts Center of Cannon County
May 25-June 30, 2012 Dan Whittle's photo art is on display at the Arts Center of Cannon County (1424 John Bragg Highway in neighboring Woodbury). Admission is free to the Marly Berger Gallery. This well known journalist-photographer-author has creative nature photos and captures life in action through the lens of his camera. Middle Half Marathon
Sat. (Oct. 13, 2012) 7AM 6th Annual Middle Half Marathon and Murph's Fun Run. The 13.1-mile course starts and stops at MTSU's Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium and the course is around the beautiful flat and tree-lined Murfreesboro historic district. The Murfreesboro Half Marathon course has been certified as accurate in measurement according to the standards adopted by the USATF Road Running Technical Council. Agenda 21 in Rutherford County

What is being labeled as a Citizen's Town Hall Meeting is set for 6:00 o'clock this Thursday night (12/1/2011) at the Patterson Community Center. The event is sponsored by a group that's known as The Concerned Citizen's of Rutherford County, and will address Rutherford County's Comprehensive Plan and what has been labeled as Agenda 21.

WGNS Bart Walker asked Rutherford County Mayor Ernest Burgess about Agenda 21 and this is what he had to say…

Michelle Perkins, one of the members of The Concerned Citizens, told WGNS that the County Planning Commission is considering changes that would make it easier to control land use and her group feels that Agenda 21 will be involved and might take away individual's rights. Despite her thoughts of Agenda 21, Mayor Burgess had no knowledge of this so called Agenda 21.
