Almanac Predicts Cold, Snowy Winter

At least one publication is predicting an interesting weather here in Tennessee this year. Mare-Anne Jarvela (pronounced Mary Ann) with the Old Farmer's Almanac spells out their prediction for our winter...

Jarvela goes on to say the coldest periods will occur in early to mid- and late December and in early to mid- and late February. The snowiest periods will be in late December, mid- to late January, and in early to mid- and late February. By the way, after a fairly mild summer, Jarvela expects next summer to be much hotter than normal.
