An armed robbery was reported on Riviera Drive at Eagle Street Friday morning around 4. The victim told police she was on her way to her home when she heard someone behind her. As she turned she saw a man who was armed with a handgun. The man demanded the she hand over her belongs while grabbing her purse and cell phone and then taking off on foot. He then threw the cell phone to the ground and ran down Riviera Drive.

The 37-year old victim told officers that she did not know the victim, but did see him walking down the street several hours prior to getting robbed. The victim was not injured.

The man was described as a short black male with a thin build. He looked to be in his late teens to early twenties. He was wearing a red hoodie with blue jean shorts. So far, he has not been caught.
