Armed robbery reported on MTSU campus at 1:09 AM on Monday

The MTSU Police Department sent faculty, staff and students an email on Monday morning shortly after 1, advising them of a possible armed robbery. The initial alert stated, “Armed robbery reported at Womack Lane Apts. Stay secure or stay away from the area.” The suspect was said to be armed with a black handgun.

A follow up alert was issued at 2:20, Monday morning that stated, “A possible suspect has been identified and located by MTSU Police.”
