Murfreesboro Police were called to a possible arson at 460 East State Street on Monday evening. Apparently, a 1991 Honda Civic was set on fire.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue successfully extinguished the blaze, which allowed for the Fire Marshall to investigate the incident. It was then determined that the fire was intentionally set.

A report from the crime scene shows that someone poured gasoline on the car and then ignited it.

Police spoke to the owner of the car and she claimed that she did not know who would have done such an injustice to her vehicle.

The case is under investigation.
