Two 20-year old Murfreesboro men face assault charges after an incident at the North Campus Apartments on Rocky Lane in Murfreesboro. Officer Gretta Ireland reports William Davis of South Rutherford Boulevard and Durrell Woods of Empress Drive were arrested after he allegedly pulled a weapon on a victim outside one of the apartments.

The victim reports the men were in another apartment spitting off the side, almost hitting his dog. When the victim asked Davis not to do that, words were exchanged. The victim adds he continued walking to his apartment when the two reportedly approached the man threatening to assault him. That's when Davis allegedly pulled a black automatic weapon from his waistband, pulled the slide back and pointed it at the victim. Another witness reports the men then went back to the upstairs apartment.
