A well known assistant fire chief in Murfreesboro is retiring! Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Assistant Fire Chief Ken Honeycutt, who has been with the department for 33-years, is hanging up his helmet.

Honeycutt tells us he started his career with the city in the parks and recreation department in the 1970's after getting out of the military. He later moved to the private business sector and began selling real estate in the late 70's, but eventually found himself back with the city in 1979, this time working for the Fire Department.
