Detective Grissom also charged Duke with aggravated assault of William Cole, 22, who suffered injuries in the same altercation, Detective Grissom said.

Duke was charged earlier with aggravated assault of Greg Browning, 20, of Christiana Road, who also suffered stab wounds

The injuries occurred during a bonfire party Sunday off Weakley Lane attended by about 40 to 50 people. People at the party took the injured men to StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna. Sheriff's patrol deputies gathered information from witnesses at the hospital and at the bonfire.

Patrol deputies and detectives worked on gathering evidence in the investigation. Detective Grissom and detectives spent an enormous amount of time this week interviewing victims and witnesses in the case before filing additional charges against Duke.

Bond of $520,000 was set for Duke who is being held in Rutherford County Adult Detention Center while awaiting a hearing in General Sessions Court.
