Someone apparently tried to steal a Mercury Marquis from the parking lot of Haynes Manor Apartments on Northfield Blvd. The victim says they got into his car by prying the locked door open. Once inside, it appears as if someone damaged the ignition switch by trying to start it.

Right now there are no suspects in the case and the damage was estimated to be about $1,500.
