The Rutherford County ban on burning has been cancelled because of the recent rain fall in Rutherford County and weather forecasters predicting a high percentage of rainfall this coming weekend. Rutherford County Fire Rescue Chief Larry Farley has cancelled the Ban on Opening Burning. The City of LaVergne has also lifted their ban on outdoor burning. 

The ban on burning in the city limits of Murfreesboro is still active.
