A woman driving in the area of Lakeshore Drive was shot by a BB or pellet gun. The incident occurred late last week and police wrote that the pellet shattered the victims passenger side window. The gun that fired the shot was evidently powerful enough to cause not only the glass to break, but also hit the victim in the shoulder.

The officer wrote in the report, "I observed a small circular abrasion along with a couple of linear abrasions on her right shoulder blade."

The victim told police that she saw a small white car flee the area rather quickly after she was shot.

No arrests have been made at this time as it is not known who fired the shot.
