Become a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Rutherford County

The Fosterville / Midland Volunteer Fire Department is the recipient of a sizable grant. The FEMA grant is known as the Recruitment / Retention Grant.

According to Fire Chief Jake Levine, they have received $450 thousand to use over the next three years to recruit new volunteers.

Currently, the Fosterville / Midland Volunteer Fire Department has 16 members. The goal is to add 30 new recruits.

Volunteer Fire Fighter Scott Cooper wrote the new grant that was approved by FEMA.
