Beechgrove man accused of statutory rape

A 25-year-old Beechgrove man was arrested on Sunday (Oct. 26) on charges of statutory rape following an incident at a Manchester motel.

According to a Coffee County warrant obtained by Investigator Butch Stewart, Andrew James Kemock is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old in the parking lot of the Regency Inn located in Manchester. He is also accused of sexually assaulting the girl again in a wooded area behind the motel.

Kemock was booked into the Coffee County Jail under a bond of $125,000. Kemock's bond was lowered to $20,000 on Tuesday and as of Tuesday evening, he was still behind bars.
