No matter what Beth Smith takes on as a volunteer, she goes well beyond the extra mile. For the past several years, she has coordinated a literacy project to get a dictionary to every third grade student in our local schools. And when someone needs a helping hand or a caring ear in which to confide, she is always there too…no matter what else is on her plate. Beth Smith is one of those rare persons who truly cares about others…and always has time to help!

The Murfreesboro Social Security Office has reduced public office hours 30-minutes each weekday. It is now open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. PLUS: the office now closes at NOON every Wednesday. Social Security employees will continue to work their regular shifts, but this change allows time for face-to-face consultations as well as processing more claims.
