Area motorists may have seen a heavily loaded recumbent bicycle traveling through Murfreesboro on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Reverend Johannes Myors has ridden about 225-thousand miles over the 20-years that he has been doing this bicycle mission work. He is currently headed to Moore, Oklahoma to help with disaster relief.

As you recall, in May of 2013, the area in and around Moore, Oklahoma was hit by an EF5 tornado. The community outside Oklahoma City had a population of around 56,000 persons. In minutes, 23 residents were killed, 377 injured and structures were leveled leaving $37-million in damages.

Already this year, Myors has ridden over 8,300 miles. His mission work has taken him to all states in the continental U.S., along with three Canadian provinces. He said, "If you add all of those trips together, it would equal going arond the world, at the equator, 9-times."
