Blackman and La Vergne met six times on the basketball court this season. Tuesday's game meant the end of the season for one team. Blackman came out strong to ensure it wasn't them. The Blaze defeated La Vergne 72-46 to win four out of the six meetings this year, punch their ticket to the region championship game and sectional tournament. Lukas Hart led the way for the Blaze with 21 points, Jauan Jennings added 18 in the win. Turnovers plagued the Wolverines, especially early in the game. Blackman built a 34-21 halftime lead, thank in large part to La Vergne's 10 turnovers. Blackman also shot 57% from the field and had no three pointers in the game.

Blackman and Siegel will meet for a fourt time this season, with the Stars winning both regular season games and the Blaze the district tournament championship. The Stars lost the district championship twice back in 2008 and 2010, but each of those times, they won the region tournament title. Last year, Blackman edged Siegel 60-56 in overtime for the region title. The tipoff will be at 7pm and WGNS State Farm coverage begins at 6:45pm with the DirecTV by EnterSource Pregame Show.

NOTE: Walker Valley (26-6) and Stone Memorial (23-9) will play for the Region 3-AAA Boys Championship on Thursday. The winner hosts the 4-AAA loser and their loser plays the 4-AAA champion on Monday in the Sectional Tournament. WGNS will cover both games.
