Blackman Girls Win First Ever State Tournament Game

The number one ranked Blackman Lady Blaze survived a war of attrition and withstood a slowdown game to defeat Houston 52-38. It's Blackman's first win in the TSSAA Blue Cross Basketball State Championships in now their third time in the tournament. It was 5-2 Blackman after the first quarter. Coach Chad Hibdon says it took them a little while to get their legs under them offensively...


Crystal Dangerfield led Blackman with 18 points and Alex Johnson followed with 13. The Lady Blaze, now 32-and-1, play 30-and-1 Mt. Juliet in the final four Friday. The Lady Bears defeated Jefferson County 65-37...
