Blackman High Teacher in Trouble

It will be up to the school board of Rutherford County to dismiss or not to dismiss a Blackman High School teacher. Richard Kimberly, who teaches criminal justice, has been accused of “inappropriate horseplay,” according to the Sheriff’s Department. Kimberly, who is also a soccer coach at Blackman, was suspended without pay in April. That suspension was in regards to violations of board policy and inappropriate conduct with students. The "horseplay" in question allegedly occured on a bus while on route to a soccer game.

No charges have been filed, but the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department told WKRN that they are looking into the case.
