Blackman Sweep at Smyrna, plus all Tuesday night prep scores

The nation's number one girls basketball team flexed their muscle in district play on the road. Blackman, behind balanced scoring and helped by early Smyrna turnovers, defeated the Lady Bulldogs 86-55. Micah Norris led Blackman with 20, Crystal Dangerfield had 19. For Smyrna, Brianne Alexander had 21-points in the game, Allie Bolton chipped in 15. Blackman remains undefeated in district play and 22-1 overall. The USA Today also just ranked the Lady Blaze number one in the country. MaxPreps is expected to follow suit this week. Smyrna's girls fall to 18-8, 4-5 in district play.

A poor shooting first quarter doomed the Smyrna boys against number 10 Blackman. The Blaze defeated the Bulldogs 62-40. Lucas Hart and Reid Pierce each had 19 points for Blackman and Jalen Johnson was Smyrna's leading scorer with 9. Blackman moves to 17-4 on the year, 7-2 in district play. Smyrna drops to 11-11, 3-6 in the district.
