Blue Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, is happy to announce that a three-year extension has been added to the broadcast agreement with NewsRadio WGNS Radio. WGNS, along with it's Nashville station and college station WMOT, are the core of the Blue Raider Network, which produces nearly 170 radio broadcasts per year.
"We're very happy to continue our relationship with WGNS into the future," said Director of Broadcasting Chip Walters. "While our network has expanded over the years to include the entire Middle Tennessee area, having your hometown station broadcast as many of your events as possible has been important around here for a long time."
NewsRadio WGNS will continue to carry Blue Raider football, men's basketball, and women's basketball as well as the weekly coaches radio shows featuring Rick Stockstill, Rick Insell, and Kermit Davis.
"A huge part of the station's commitment to serving Rutherford County is our relationship with Middle Tennessee athletics," said NewsRadio WGNS General Manager Bryan Barrett. "We are beyond ecstatic to be able to continue to showcase Blue Raider athletics as part of our continued desire to give listeners the best of what our community has to offer."
Blue Raider coaches, administrators, and student-athletes make regular appearances on other WGNS programs as well. WGNS can be heard on the AM dial at 1450 and on the FM dial at 100.5 and 101.9 as well as online at wgnsradio.com.
