Children and adults from as close as Rutherford County to Arkansas, Florida, and everywhere in between were in Nashville on Saturday for the annual Music City Nationals BMX races. The event was held at Hamilton Creek along the banks of J. Percy Priest Lake at what was once called Dixie Land. The race course is now called Music City BMX.
Saturday was the UCI World Qualifier day and children as young as 6 to adults who were 46 hit the BMX course at full speed. The event was open to both sponsored pros to those who simply ride as a hobby. The race was open to both boys and girls, men and women... All heats were divided by age and sex.
Music City BMX is a bicycle motocross track sanctioned by USA BMX.
