On Saturday, June 21st, the 7th Annual Boat Day and 9th Annual Waterfest will be held at the Corps of Engineers' Jefferson Springs Recreational Area, which is located on the left just before crossing the Jefferson Pike Bridge over the Stones River, on your way to State Route 840. This event begins at 9am and lasts until 1pm.
Citizens of all ages are encouraged to visit the water quality and boat safety exhibits and enjoy the tranquil lake water in either a canoe or kayak, or both. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be available, and life jackets are required to be worn. All young children must be accompanied by an adult on all boats. This event is FREE!
Two highly experienced ‘spotters’ on the water, in kayaks, will be on duty at all times.
