Bojangle's three Rutherford County locations have been closed. Customers were surprised to find the doors shut and a sign from the State Department of Revenue, saying the businesses had been seized for nonpayment of taxes.

Kelly Nolan Cortesi, the public information officer for the Tennessee Department of Revenue, tells NewsRadio WGNS state law prohibits them from disclosing information about individual taxpayers. Therefore, she says, the she can't comment on the business closing.

Bojangle's locations on South Church Street and Memorial Boulevard in Murfreesboro and Lee Victory Parkway in Smyrna were all closed this week.

On a side note, NewsRadio WGNS' popular Prentice Alsup Heating and Air Coaches Corner began broadcasting from the Memorial location this year. Station Manager Bryan Barrett says they're currently looking for an alternative, but the show will go on as planned. They'll broadcast from the radio station studios for the time being.
