Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews have begun preliminary construction of a new interchange on Broad Street and Memorial Boulevard/Old Fort Parkway.
TDOT will hold an informational meeting for the community and businesses this week. Officials from TDOT, the city of Murfreesboro and the contractor will all be available to answer questions and provide details about the project timeline.
The community meeting will take place Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 in the Murfreesboro City Hall on West Vine.
Bell & Associates Construction was awarded the project at a contract cost of $17.6 million. Crews have begun preliminary construction activities such as installing construction signs and marking the project boundaries. This work will not impact traffic. In February, crews will begin relocating utilities.
