An unknown subject opened fire in a residential area of downtown Murfreesboro on Wednesday night. A South University Street woman told police she heard three shots and then noticed one bullet entered her home through a living room window. The bullet was located in a silk drapery panel inside the room.

No vehicles were seen in the area when the shots were fired. Police have little to go by at this point.
