BULLETIN: WGNS News has learned that the suicidal man sought by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office checked himself in to Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Students at Buchanan Elementary and Whitworth-Buchanan Middle schools were released safely Tuesday after a lockdown because of an armed suicidal man in the community, said Sheriff Robert Arnold .

Deputies received a call about a suicidal man armed with a 20-gauge shotgun about 11:30 Tuesday morning (4/16/2013) in the Gum community off U.S. Highway 41 South ( Manchester Highway ). Deputies located his abandoned truck and spotted him later. When they took precautionary cover, he fled.

Again, WGNS News has learned that the suicidal man sought by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office checked himself in to Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Sheriff Robert Arnold will be on the WGNS Action Line "live" Wednesday morning from 8:10 to 9:00 o'clock.
