A Murfreesboro man was caught red-handed after two burglaries on South East Broad Street and Barker Street. 29-Year old Antonio R. Nelson was spotted by M-P-D Detective Gorham on Maney Avenue at Castle Street. The subject was bleeding from the hand and in addition to his fresh wound, he was actually said to be holding the property of one of two recent burglary victims.

Detective Gorham made contact with Nelson and he reportedly admitted to both crimes. Upon a search, additional property was found in his backpack, along with a crack pipe in his front pocket. Thanks to the quick work by Murfreesboro Police, Nelson, who lives in a home on the Shelbyville Highway, was charged with two counts of burglary over $1,000, two counts of vandalism, evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nelson is being held in the local jail under a $31,000 bond. He will be in court on April 14,2014.
