The Oaklands Candlelight Tour of Homes this past Saturday evening was estimated to have been one of the most successful in the thirty-one years that the event has taken place.

James Manning, Executive Director of Oaklands Association, said "The Tour of Homes has been an annual community tradition for over thirty years. We couldn't be more grateful to the homeowners, sponsors and volunteers who put the "fun" this fundraising event."

While enjoying the festive walking tour, a popular attraction was Julia's Home Style Bakery Food Truck that offered hot holiday beverages and seasonal pastries. The bakery donated a portion the proceeds to the grand Oaklands Mansion, which is the cornerstone of the tour.

  • Oaklands Historic House Museum, 900 North Maney Avenue
  • Mr.& Mrs. William Patterson & family, Murfree-Patterson House, 332 East Main Street
  • Ms. Linda Parks, 401 East Main Street
  • Mr. & Mrs. Larry Sims, 537 East Main Street
