Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, announced this morning their support of conservative candidate Jim Tracy in Tennessee’s 4th Congressional District Primary Election against incumbent Congressman Scott DesJarlais.

“CUPVF has supported Congressman DesJarlais in the past, but can no longer do so because he does not share our conservative values,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “Tennessee’s fourth congressional district deserves a strong conservative voice in Washington and Jim Tracy is that candidate. I urge the people of Tennessee’s fourth congressional district to support Jim Tracy in next year’s primary.”

CUPVF has also contributed a total of $5,000 to Tracy’s primary campaign. Jim Tracy has already been endorsed by several other conservative groups including Concerned Women of America earlier this year. The Tracy Campaign has also built an extensive leadership team in the state of both former and current elected officials as well as community leaders.

“I am honored to have the support of a great conservative organization like Citizens United,” said Jim Tracy. “I appreciate the confidence that they have placed in my conservative principles. I am going to continue to work hard to build grassroots support across the district.”
