Murfreesboro City Council met Thursday evening to approve the paperwork for Craig Tindall as the City Attorney. Until Tindall is admitted to the Tennessee Bar, Mr. David Ives will serve for the time being in place for retiring attorney Susan Emery McGannon.

McGannon has been serving as the attorney since 2001, and her retirement will be official November 1st, 2015.

Craig Tindall recently served as General Counsel for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League in Phoenix, legal services he has provided since Aug. 2013. Tindall served as city attorney and deputy city attorney for the City of Glendale, Arizona, a city of 240,000 people, from 2001 to 2013. He will begin his new role October 26th.
