Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Underdrain, utility and bridge parapet wall construction work continues on Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church St and Stevens Bend Subdivision. Storm drain construction work continues in the Stevens Bend Subdivision. There will be incidental lane closures traffic interruptions for stone and concrete deliveries between 7 am and 8 am. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)
Expected Road Closures: September 3rd 2013 through June 21st 2014: Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work. All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane. Proper traffic controls will be in place.
Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm: Public Utility (Electric) work continues along Veterans Pkwy between Yeargen Rd and Barfield Rd. Sidewalk, curb and gutter and base stone construction work continues on Veterans Pkwy around the Cason Lane and Saint Andrews Dr. areas. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions (trucks entering and exiting the job site). Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Southwest Force Main Project (W College Street/Old Nashville Highway)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: Contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing force sewer main lines W College St/Old Nashville Highway between Thompson Lane and Gateway Blvd will be reduced to one lane with portable traffic signal operation. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 5:00 am: There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street and W College Street for underground utility crossings. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Broadmor Blvd will be closed approximately three months to traffic at Memorial Blvd for utility crossing construction work. Broadmor Blvd can still be accessed from NW Broad Street. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Murfreesboro Electric New Sub-Station Project (Rutherford Blvd just north of MTSU Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm: As part of new sub-station, the contractor for Murfreesboro Electric Department will be working on the utility poles along Rutherford Blvd between MTSU Blvd and Greenland Drive. There will be alternating lane closures on Rutherford Blvd northbound and southbound during this work. Traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one lane each direction. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Water & Sewer Department Sewer Rehabilitation Work
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm: The contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be performing sewer rehabilitation work on the following streets: Toddington Dr, Fowler St and Whitehall Dr. Local residents will have access to their homes at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Engineering Department Storm Drain Crossing Work (W Clark Blvd between Woodland St and Grantland Ave)
Expected Lane Closures: June 9 – June 30, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm: The contractor for Engineering Department will be installing storm drain on W Clark Blvd between Woodland St and Grantland Ave. Traffic to and from W Clark Blvd will be detoured on Woodland St, Sunset Ave, Allen Dr and back onto W Clark Blvd. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place. Local residents will have access to W Clark Blvd at all times.
Blue Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, is happy to announce that a three-year extension has been added to the broadcast agreement with NewsRadio WGNS Radio. The affiliation between Blue Raider Athletics and WGNS dates back to 1947 and, for the biggest part of those 68 years, has been a broadcast outlet for Middle Tennessee. The new agreement will mean that Blue Raider Network programming will be heard on NewsRadio WGNS through at least 2018.
