City Hall Packed With Opening of K-6 Art Show

It was "standing room only" as Mayor Tommy Bragg gave out the awards in the 21st Annual Murfreesboro City Schools Art Competition.

The council chambers of the Murfreesboro City Hall were packed Thursday afternoon (3/21/2013) as awards were presented to the top placing kindergarten through sixth grade city school student-artists. The 21st Annual City Schools Art Competition is on display weekdays from 8:00AM to 4:30PM in the City Hall Rotunda through May 3rd.

Best of the Show

Above L-R: The "Best of the Show" award went to Dylan Raney, a sixth grade student at Black Fox Elementary. Within him is Principal Joe Thompson. Dylan's entry is on the wall above them and features the pyramid shapes with several out-of-this-world spheres.
