28-Grams of Marijuana, 30-Hydrocodone pills, cocaine and a digital scale were recovered from a hotel room all because of a tip received by Murfreesboro Police.

Police went to Motel Murfreesboro on NW Broad Street after getting a tip that drug activity may be present in one of the rooms. Police simply knocked on the door of the room in question and were given permission by 27-year old Allen D. Carney to search the room. It was during that search that police recovered the drugs in question and drug paraphernalia.

Carney was charged with:

• The Manufacturing, delivery or sale of a Schedule Six Drug
• The Manufacturing, delivery or sale of a Schedule Three Drug
• Simple Possession of a Schedule Two Drug
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Carney will appear in General Sessions Court on January 29, 2014.
