Company Allegedly Scamming Residents to Gain Tax Return Money

Claiming to offer local residents a job is what lures in the victims. One Murfreesboro woman by the name of Teresa Nickles told WGNS that she thought she had landed the perfect job... handing out flyer's advertising guidance services in the community. Instead of getting paid, she says she got scammed out of her tax return and more.

Nickles told us that a representative for the company she believes scammed her works out of a home on Kerr Avenue in Murfreesboro. She says a woman with the company used her social security number to file her taxes and to get a credit card. WGNS is not releasing the name of the company until an arrest warrant is issued or charges are filed. We will however say that the company is a registered “for profit” company with the state of Tennessee.
