Consolidated Utility Undercharges Some Smyrna Residents

About one-thousand Consolidated Utility District customers in Smyrna were undercharged on their sewer bills. CUD Safety Director Ken Honeycutt tells NewsRadio WGNS they discovered the undercharge, which has gone on for the past three years after the rate was entered incorrectly.

The Town of Smyrna has corrected their bills and now Honeycutt says affected customers will have the next three-years to repay the amount. The average undercharge is $4.64. He says customers can pay the full amount if they choose to do so.
