Murfreesboro City Manager Rob Lyons told WGNS that new projects are underway to make the city more user friendly. One of those project is the extension of the Joe B. Jackson Parkway between South Church Street and I-24.

Once complete, the roads will connect to Veterans Parkway making a direct connection between State Route 840, Highway 96, Highway 99, 231 South and I-24.
