The registered sex offender who was accused of unlawful photography will be in Circuit Court to file a plea on Friday (8/19/16) in Rutherford County.

39 Year old Craig McCord was apprehended in June of this year (2016) and is the prime suspect in the unlawful photography case that unfolded at Kohl's on Old Fort Parkway and a Memorial Boulevard Publix store, both in Murfreesboro. The suspect was charged with "Unlawful Photography" and "Observation Without Consent."

A security video at one of the two stores showed a man who looked like McCord following a female throughout the store while constantly looking over his shoulder. The video showed at one point the man actually got on the floor and began taking photos up the victims dress.

The incident is similar to what was reported at the Kohl's Department Store in Murfreesboro. The case was worked by MPD Detective Tommy Roberts.

McCord was out of jail on bond for another sexual related case when the video and photography incident occurred.

In 2015, Craig McCord was indicted after being accused of inappropriately touching a 13-year old girl. The incident was said to have occurred when the child was at his home spending the night with McCord and his wife Virginia. McCord allegedly touched the child in the genital area as she slept, but she woke up as it was happening and called her grandfather to pick her up.

McCord was originally placed on the Tennessee Sex Offender registry in 2002 for a Sexual Battery conviction.

Again, McCord will face Judge Royce Taylor in the Circuit Court of Rutherford County to file a plea on Friday (8/19/16) . The case involves the unlawful photography of victims at two local stores.
